BILLABONG PRO, JEFFREYS BAY ON HOLD FOR SUNDAY
News provided by ASP World Tour on 17 July 2005
Tiny and wind affected waves are again lapping into Jeffreys Bay, South Africa, prompting organisers to again put the event on hold for the fourth day in a row.
Contest Director Mike Parsons is still confident that the long-range forecasts will bring swell within the next few days.
With the first two rounds having been completed in excellent conditions, the event, the sixth on the Foster’s ASP Men’s World Tour, has approximately two full days of surfing left with round three (16 heats), round four (eight heats), quarter finals (four heats), semi-finals (two heats) and final (one heat) to complete. .
To check results for rounds one and two go to aspworldtour.com or billabongpro.com
Organisers will convene at Jeffreys Bay again tomorrow, Sunday morning, at 7am (local time) to assess conditions.
