RIP CURL SEARCH WCT ON HOLD AGAIN

News provided by ASP World Tour on 29 June 2005

Due to tiny swell conditions in St Leu, Reunion Island, the Rip Curl Search
WCT has been put on hold for the second day in a row.

The event, the fifth on the Fosters ASP Men’s Tour has only the
quarterfinals, semifinals and the final to run and organisers are opting to
hold out for a predicted swell rise over the next few days.

The St Leu break has been host to near perfect conditions in earlier rounds
and surfers have been treating spectators to some high performance wave
riding.

With eight surfers remaining six are Australian with one Brazilian and one
American. The draw consists of: Danny Wills (AUS) versus Jake Paterson
(AUS); Mick Fanning (AUS) versus Darren O’Rafferty (AUS); Peterson Rosa
(AUS) versus Cory Lopez (USA) and; Phil Macdonald (AUS) versus Nathan Hedge
(AUS).

Next call 7.00am Thursday June 30.
