EPIC SURF CONDITIONS GREET RIP CURL SEARCH WCT DAY FOUR

Consistent 1.5 metre (4 foot) and perfect waves have greeted the surfers competing in day four of the Rip Curl Search WCT at St Leu, Reunion Island and organisers of the event are planning to complete a further 17 heats today.

Nine heats of Round Three remain to be completed plus organisers are aiming to complete the eight heats in round four.

This is the fifth event for surfers competing on the Foster's World Men’s Tour.

Heat 8: Number one seed, American Kelly Slater versus 42nd seed, Brazilian Bruno Santos; Heat 9: Number two seed, Hawaiian Andy Irons versus 38th seed, Brazilian Jean Da Silva; Heat 10: Number 16 seed, Australian Mark Occhilupo versus 19th seed, Brazilian Peterson Rosa; Heat 11: Number 7 seed, American Cory Lopez versus 28th seed, Brazilian Victor Ribas; Heat 12: Number 10 seed Australian Luke Egan versus number 24 Brazilian Paulo Moura; Heat 13: Number 3 seed Australian Joel Parkinson; Heat 14: Number 14 seed, Australian Phillip Macdonald versus number 20 seed, Australian Troy Brooks; Heat 15: Number 6 seed Australian Nathan Hedge versus 29th seed Lee Winkler; Heat 16: number 11 seed Bruce Irons versus 23rd seed Travis Logie.
