NEW SWELL ON THE WAY FOR GLOBE WCT FIJI

Organisers of the Globe WCT Fiji have yet again been forced to call a lay day for the fourth event on the Foster’s ASP Men’s World Tour.
While there are very small waves pulsing every so often around the island of Tavarua, the forecast from www.surfline.com indicates that a new swell will be arriving around tomorrow or Tuesday and organisers are confident that the event will be completed in more quality waves.
The forecast swell will come in at around 1.5 metres (four feet) plus and with it the incredibly perfect wave known as Cloudbreak will spring back to life.
There are only 16 surfers remaining in the round four draw including 11 Australians, four from the US mainland and one Hawaiian.
Organisers will only need one full day to crown the victor but there is some talk that the event will be split over two days to take advantage of the best tidal conditions.
