NOVA SCHIN FESTIVAL TO WRAP UP IN IMBITUBA TODAY

IMBITUBA, Brazil – The Nova Schin Festival presented by Billabong is currently underway in six to eight foot plus (two to three metre) waves at the main event site in Imbituba this morning.
The large swell was a welcome sight with event officials utilizing the entire 10-day waiting period and taking the event mobile to Rosa Beach yesterday. Today is the final day of the Nova Schin Festival contest window.
The remaining seven heats of competition – the quarterfinals, semifinals and final – will be run in 30-minute intervals today. A small break between the semifinals and final will see the Nova Schin Festival champion crowned early this afternoon.
