QUIKSILVER PRO ROUND ONE TO GET UNDERWAY AT 8AM
News provided by ASP World Tour on 28 February 2006
With a one to 1.5 metre swell pumping through at Snapper Rocks, Queensland, Australia have opted to send out the Quiksilver Pro first round at 8am sharp local time.
Carrying on from yesterday where the Quiksilver Pro trialists put on some searing performances that turned the heads of the massive crowd on hand, the "guns" of men's surfing are keen to get amongst it today and it is guaranteed they will impress as they come out of the blocks in the first event on the Foster’s ASP Men’s World Tour.
"We're going to run through to the end of the first round today," said an excited Contest Director Rod Brooks. "It's probably better out there than anything we had last year! It'll go a bit wonky through the high tide but we have to deal with that everyday so it's all go!"
With an exciting first round draw that will give us our first look at the newcomers on tour the first heat of the day will include CJ Hobgood (USA), Marcelo Nunes (BRA) and tour rookie Pedro Henrique (BRA).
Head straight to www.quiksilverpro.com or www.aspworldtour.com for all the live action.
