Nomad Surfers Surfcamps and Surfaris

I booked a 3 surf-camp at Dynamic Loisirs in Tamraght through Nomad Surf. Customer service during the booking process was pretty good – friendly and speedy responses to email enquiries. However, when I landed at Agadir at 8.00 at night and approached the guy holding the Nomads’ sign, it turned out he was from a different operation who also took bookings through Nomad’s and the driver from Dynamic Loisirs had left about 30mins earlier. Luckily this guy was heading the same way and offered to drop me off (for a price, of course). Upon arrival at the surf camp, it turned out that Nomads’ had never forwarded my booking to the people at Dynamic Loisirs so they had no idea to expect me. Fortunately, as it was high-season, they did have space for me but even when they rechecked things the following day, they never received my booking and I ended up having to forward my email confirmation to their manager (who lived off site and I never once saw) to prove that I had a reservation and had paid €33 deposit. The staff at Dynamic Loisirs were fantastic and once everything was sorted out I had a great time, however I remain fairly unimpressed with Nomads’, especially as the whole reasons I’d booked ahead was, as a solo female traveller, to avoid to situation of flying into a foreign country alone at night and having hassles arranging accommodation.
