One of Australia’s most iconic surfers of all time passed away yesterday after suffering a heart attack. The original “Cooly Kid” Michael Peterson died at age 59. Nicknamed the “King Of Kirra” Peterson suffered from schizophrenia and drug abuse even as he was at the top of his game. In memory of one of his idols, Mick Fanning rode a MP inspired single yesterday on the Gold Coast.
