JEFFREYS BAY, South Africa (Friday, July 15, 2011) – The Billlabong Pro Jeffreys Bay, Event No. 4 of 11 on the 2011 ASP World Title season, has been called ON this morning, with Round 1 commencing in clean three-to-four foot (1 metre) waves at 7:30am.

“We’ve seen a slight increase since yesterday and it’s become more consistent so we’ll be commencing Round 1 at 7:30am,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge said. “While it’s not classic Jeffreys Bay, it’s still very contestable and we’ll be taking advantage of what’s on offer this morning. We aim to complete the opening round of competition and have put the first six heats of Round 2 on standby.”

Up first this morning will be Bede Durbidge (AUS), 31, Tiago Pires (PRT), 28, and Cory Lopez (USA), 34, in the opening heat of Round 1.
