Bethany was born February 8, 1990 on Kauai, HI. Known in the industry for her powerful surfing, barrel riding and passion for big-waves. She was the runner up at the World Junior Pro in 2009, and is currently competing in the prestigious ASP World Professional Surfing Tour living her dream - and all with one arm!

Bethany shares her compelling life story in the bestselling autobiographical book, Soul Surfer. She has become a source of inspiration to millions through her faith, determination and success. Recently FilmDistrict and Sony Pictures partnered to make Soul Surfer into a major motion picture set to be released to audiences worldwide April 8, 2011.
